Who Are We?

We are a creative group of friends who desire to worship God, impact our community and disciple the nations.

We are a creative group of friends who desire to worship God, impact our community and disciple the nations. We are not independent nor are we denominational. We are a local autonomous (self-governing) church accountable to, and in relationship with, a translocal apostolic team. This team, consisting of hundreds of men and women from around the world, is called New Covenant Ministries International (NCMI) and is led by Tyrone Daniel.

Our Meetings

We have Sunday in-person meetings at two different time slots — 08:00am and 09:30am. We will also continue with our Live Stream via YouTube at 08:00am.

The People

The church isn't a building - it's people. And we think you'll find Solid Ground Church a pretty friendly bunch. Every Church needs leaders and our Leadership Team works together to shape the vision and direction of the church.

What We Believe

At Solid Ground Church we follow Jesus Christ, teach from the Bible, and worship God as the creator and ruler of the universe.

God

We believe God has revealed Himself as one God existing eternally in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; distinguishable but indivisible.

  • Matthew 28:19

  • 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary and is the Saviour of humanity.

  • Luke 1:26-35

  • John 1:18

  • Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah 9:6

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit indwells, guides and comforts believers through distributing gifts of the Spirit and leads believers to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit.

  • John 16:13

  • Ephesians 4:7

  • Romans 12:6

  • Galatians 5:22

The Bible

We believe the Scripture, Old and New Testaments, are inspired by God as they were originally given.

  • 2 Timothy 3:16

  • 1 Corinthians 2:13

Sin

We believe God created humanity in his image but humans rebelled through sin against God and became spiritually dead, totally depraved and eternally separated from God.

  • Romans 5:12,18

The Ascension

We believe Jesus Christ ascended into heaven, His exaltation as Heavenly High Priest and His personal, literal and bodily coming to earth again a second time.

  • John 14:2-3

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

  • Hebrews 4:14

Gifts of The Holy Spirit

We believe gifts of the Spirit in operation are essential to the ministry of the church.

  • 1 Corinthians 12:1-31

Continual Filling of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Spirit-filled life and the development of godly character in the fear of God as believers serve and demonstrate devotion to God.

  • Ephesians 5:18

  • 2 Corinthians 6:14, 7:1

The Church

We believe the company of the called-out ones, the church, is the community where all believers join together in family to pursue the work of the ministry of Jesus Christ.

  • Ephesians 1:22-23

Water Baptism

We believe in water baptism by immersion as a confession by the believer in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and an expression of faith and obedience to His command.

  • Matthew 28:19

  • Acts 2:37-41, Acts 19:1-6

Breaking of Bread

We believe in the breaking of bread commonly called communion or the Lordʼs Supper where bread and the cup are the symbols of celebration and remembering Jesus sacrifice.

  • 1 Corinthians 11:28-32

Eternal Life

We believe in Eternal Life for the believer and Eternal Punishment for the unbeliever who has rejected the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as Saviour.

  • John 5:24, 3:16;

  • 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10
